Glass Vase and Rose
Having just received a copy of the Nikon Scan software, I was anxious to try it out. I was going to visit a good friend who is also interested in Photography, so I thought it would be fun to try the camera and software at his place. Controlling the camera remotely from the computer is very convenient, but it is REALLY EASY to take many exposures. We shot several hundred in just about an hour's time.
The only light source was a single reading lamp with a tungsten bulb. By playing with the different White Balance options on the camera, we were able to produce some very interesting effects. This image was based on the WB value for flash which gave a pleasant warm tone that has the feeling of a still life painting.
